Typical responsibilities include:

• Assisting with market setup and breakdown

• Helping guide vendors in and booth set up as needed

• Supporting the information booth and food access programs

• Greeting customers and helping create a welcoming market atmosphere

• Assisting the Market Manager with general market operations

This is an active, outdoor position, and applicants should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, moving equipment, and being on their feet throughout the day. This position can be a great fit for students, seasonal workers, or anyone who loves farmers markets and being part of a vibrant local community.

Do you love local food, vibrant community spaces, and supporting small businesses? The Bayview Farmers Market is looking for two Market Assistants to join our team starting April 25th!

Position details:

• Position: Market Assistant (2 openings)

• Pay: $200 per market day (approximately $21-22/hour)

• Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM

• Schedule: Every other Saturday

We’re looking for people who are dependable, community-minded, and excited about supporting local farmers, food producers, and artisans. This role also helps support programs that improve access to fresh, local food for everyone in our community.

Looking for part-time work? Glendale Shepherd is looking for a friendly, qualified person to staff the Seattle and Whidbey Island Farmers Markets for their creamery! They are looking for a person from the island who can pack up and drive one of their market vans to market, then set up the booth and work the market. Once the market ends they would then repack/load the van and drive back to the farm to unload.

It’s typically a 7-12 hour day depending on location. Markets are on Saturdays and Sundays. Must have good customer service skills, excellent driving record, and willingness to learn.
